Charlotte Ballet

Charlotte Ballet sent us a beautiful letter thanking The Murgitroyd Foundation:

“On behalf of the Board of Trustees, artists and staff of Charlotte Ballet, thank you for the Murgitroyd Foundation’s grant of $1,000 in support of live musical accompaniment for our Reach Scholarship Program. Upon receipt of these funds, we would like to express our gratitude for your continued partnership and the role you play in sustaining our work throughout Mecklenburg County.

Together, we are making a profound impact on our community.

Thanks to the Murgitroyd Foundation’s renewed generosity this year, Reach students are once again receiving a robust, well-rounded artistic experience. With the vital component of a live percussionist accompanying West African and Latin-Fusion dance classes, young dancers in our community are experiencing these multi-cultural dance styles in their true form, learning not only about dance but also about music and how community shapes art.

In the coming weeks, Reach students will continue to grow as dancers and overall students. We are approaching our Reach Year-End Showcase, and students are working hard on the pieces they will perform, as they are excited to share with their family and friends all they have learned this season. Likewise, we look forward to providing further updates about the impact of this grant following the culmination of the Reach season.”
