Sunshine Wishes Children’s Charity aims to grant wishes to young people, up to the age of 18, who are living with a serious or life-shortening illness or who have a mental or physical disability, the majority of whom come from families on a very low income.
The Murgitroyd Foundation were happy to help them with recent grant funding and we received this letter from them:
“We were very grateful to have received a grant of £3197 from the Murgitroyd Foundation to support our foodbanks network, which has enabled us to provide the families of nursery aged children with the food items they need.
We support 8 foodbanks, and around 200 families monthly. The foodbanks are located in Rockfield Nursery School, Rowena Nursery, Lamlash Nursery, Milton Community Nursery, Benview Early Years Centre, Elmcroft Nursery, Hamiltonhill Family Learning Centre and Scaraway Nursery School, to support the families there. We top up the foodbanks fortnightly with non-perishable pantry items, to ensure that struggling parents can feed their children. Thank you once again for your support.”
