Step Ahead Aberdeen

Step Ahead Aberdeen is grass roots organisation that Murgitroyd Foundation gave £5000 in March this year. They help stroke patients who cannot access rehab via the NHS.

“Just to let you know that the grant money is being put to very good use. Since receiving it, we have organised an afternoon tea at the Four Mile Kings wells. The members rose to the challenge as always and produced some beautiful and imaginative Easter eggs. This was not only a fun activity but also made a very good talking point.

New members were warmly welcomed to SAA. They were apprehensive at first but by the end of the afternoon, they were smiling with confidence and enthusiastically asking when the next get together would be. We also discovered that one of the new members belonged to a local jazz club. He is very keen to take part as part of the jazz group again so we have invited him to take part in our Christmas entertainment.

Exercises classes are going well and new members are fitting comfortably into our group. The neuro physiotherapists are assessing people who are on the waiting list to see if they are fit for the classes at this point in time.

We are planning to have a carvery lunch at Dyce Farm in August where we will have a chance to meet up again.

Thank you for your support because it means so much to our charity.”
